Julian began working in the supermarket
industry in August 1987 for Boys Marina #279
as a Clerk's Helper. He was promoted in 1987
to Cashier and then in 1990 to Night Manager.
Boy's was acquired by Ralph's Supermarket
and Julian was transferred to Ralph's #209
as a Service Manager. He later stepped down
and became second man in the Dairy Deli
Department. Julian voluntarily quit
Ralph's Grocery in March 2000.
He was hired by Local 1442 in September 2000
in the Membership Department. Five years later
he was promoted to the position of
Union Representative.
